Located alongside the cliff facing the Pacific ocean you’ll have unspeakable views of Land’s End and experience some of the finest dining in southern Baja. One of the most amazing dining views in Cabo San Lucas is at none-other than El Parallon inside the Resort at Pedregal. Influences are varied in creative molecular gastronomy, and other times it can be very specific to meet the most seasoned pallet. All here in Los Cabos, Mexico.Ĭamino del Mar 1, Pedregal, 23455 Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S. We’ve taken to the region and spoke to some of the amazing chef’s and restaurateurs about the places that have changed the game that are both big and small. From traditional Mexican cuisine to amazing dishes that take you across the globe. Zero stars for the food, two stars for the view and the lovely staff.Cabo is home to many culinary delights. I could care less what it costs or where it is, I just want a great culinary experience. I've traveled the world enjoying different cuisines, from street food style to Michelin restaurants. So if you book the two tables at the end, just know you could have people lining up to take photos next to your table. People dining inside came outside to take selfies. Sitting outside was definitely an amazing spot for sunset. Perhaps the other reviewers were just mesmerized by the view to notice the food. The pictures I saw online prior made it look dainty, where you could get mix of each fruit in one bite.wrong. The appetizer salad feels like 4 cups of fruit. If you enjoy drinking a soup that tastes as dynamic as plain soy sauce, this is your spot. The mushroom ramen had just one flavor that overpowered everything. If you enjoy eating a plain tomato, head on down. The tomato and watermelon salad was just cut up fruit. I had two bites of each dish and then gave up and went to another restaurant. I will definitely come back just for the desserts!!!Įasily the worst food I had in all of Cabo. The desserts turned a negative experience to a very positive one. The best part of this dinning experience is the desert which you must try! We had the sweet corn mocha, chocolate sponge cake, kiwi tart and the chef’s special chocolate cake for my bday. The cocktails are very bland /watered-down. And hence I can only give 3 stars for this reviews. That is not acceptable for a 5 stars restaurant in my opinion. So we have to return the dish and later found out that it was a “high quality farmed fish” after inquiry. As a very picky fish eater, I know this is something wrong with the fish, it’s either not fresh or not properly handled. The texture of the fish and very mushy and a bit fishy. I asked what fish was the catch of the day and I was told Mexican black seabass. “catch of the day” (here comes the issue. scallops with white sauce ( scallop sashimi with citrus dressing, fresh and recommended ) Beetroot ceviche (basically beetroot salad, nothing special) the sashimi (4pieces bluefin otoro and 4 pieces akame with special citrus soy sauce and special wasabi sauce, you cannot turn down the melt in your mouth bluefin tuna) The portion is very small, even bit smaller that your typical fine dining in NY. We stayed in the hotel and of course will not miss the chance to try out the dinner for my birthday celebration. It didn’t have the harmony of the three milks that tres leches normally has, but was nonetheless quite tasty. Here, caramelized bread replaces cake, and the milks come separate. The deconstructed tres leches cake was an interesting take on the classic dessert. Eating the fish with blue corn tortillas like tacos was a fantastic way to enjoy the fish each bite yielded a little flavor explosion with Shishito peppers, guacamole, guacamole, and salsas. The catch of the day was very well seasoned and topped with a delectable miso mayonnaise like sauce. The teriyaki sauce was an ingenious pairing. I didn’t expect it to go so well with something already as sweet as watermelon in an appetizer, but it complemented nicely.įried oysters and mushrooms fill a flour wrapped burrito for the burrito main dish, yielding satisfying umami and texture. Tomato and watermelon salad had decent tomatoes and watermelon, but what really made it stand out was the sweet hibiscus chimoy sauce. The dipping sauce is delicious with the tuna. The bluefin tuna sashimi featured top quality melt-in-your-mouth fatty tuna from the pacific coast of Mexico. Located in the Cape Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, the restaurant overlooks the bay and offers beautiful views at sunset. Manta is a restaurant focusing on the seafood based cuisines (think a mix of Mexican, Peruvian, and Japanese) of the pacific.
